#Yoga Therapy
Yoga is a form of practise that is beneificial to the mind, body and spirit. During a remedial Yoga session, usually done as one-one, specific problems can be targetted. While it will be neccessary to work on the whole body to create balance, postures will be chosen to alleviate the problem whether that be anxiety, stiffness or long term alignment problems which are now resulting in arthritis or rheumatism.

#Reflexology
or zone therapy, is the practice of massaging, squeezing, or pushing on parts of the feet, or sometimes the hands and ears, with the goal of encouraging a beneficial effect on other parts of the body, or to improve general health.
It is believed that that areas on the foot correspond to areas of the body, and that by manipulating these one can improve health. It is also believed that these zones reflect energy (Qi), and that blockages of energy in the body are reflected through "grit" or "lumps" on the foot.
A clinical reflexologist can often tell, simply by the conidtion of your feet where you may have problem in your body and it is not unusual to hear 'Have you got a problem with your right shoulder?' for instance.

Alexander Technique
The Alexander Technique is a practical method of learning to restore the natural poise andbalance that we had as young children. Lessons are taught on a one-to-one basis so that theteacher can assess individual movement patterns by using light hands on contact, togetherwith verbal explanation.
The Alexander Technique works by helping you to identify and prevent the harmful posturalhabits that aggravate, or may be the cause of, stress, pain and under-performance. Lessonsare tailored to individual needs but are applied to daily activities such as sitting, standing,driving a car or sitting at a computer. It can also be applied to hobbies or interests such asgardening, playing golf or playing a musical instrument.
You will learn how to release tension and rediscover balance of mind and body. With increased awareness you can:be poised without stiffness move gracefully and powerfully with less effort be alert and focused with less strain breathe and speak more easily and freely be calm and confident

All therapy session are by appointment and regrettably casual callers can not be accommodated. The centre is normally open on Saturdays between 11am and 2pm and you can arrange to have a look around, we often have a free or very reasonably priced talks during the middle of the day too and there are some therapies available most Saturdays. i.e. Aqua Detox, Chi Machine, Tootsie Treats etc. If you are intending to make a special trip it is always best to check as we are sometimes away at functions and events.
